GREAT LENT AND LENTEN WORSHIP
A 40 day fast preceeds the Great Feasts of the Saturday of Lazarus, the Entry into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday), and Holy Week. Great Lent begins on "Clean Monday," February 23rd. During this time, the Church guides us to abstain from meat and dairy; to confess our sins; and to attend the Lenten Worship Services, as follows:
The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts: On Wednesdays through Great Lent (with the exception of March 25th) at 6:00 p.m.
The Salutations to the Theotokos: On the first five Saturdays of Great Lent, 6:00 p.m.
Confessions may be heard after the Salutations Service or by appointment.

April 4th, Saturday of Lazarus

Resurrection Service, 10:30 p.m.
Paschal Proclamation, 11 p.m. followed by Orthros and the Divine Liturgy.
April 12th, Pascha (Easter Sunday) Agape Vespers, 11 a.m.
